Confidential Files Reveal Prince Andrew’s Trade RoleReleased documents confirm Queen Elizabeth II’s strong support for Andrew as trade envoy from 2001 to 2011.
- Queen Elizabeth II expressed clear enthusiasm in 2000 for Andrew to succeed as the UK’s special trade envoy.
- Internal communications advised strict media management due to Andrew’s prominent public profile during his tenure.
- No formal vetting process was found before Andrew’s appointment, prompting concern among lawmakers.
