Runaway Korean Wolf Captured After Nine-Day HuntThe wolf was found near an expressway in Daejeon and showed normal vital signs after extensive rescue efforts.
- Neukgu, a two-year-old wolf from a Daejeon zoo, was caught after a nine-day search near a highway.
- Hundreds of rescue workers were mobilized during the operation, with several close encounters before his capture.
- The wolf is part of a conservation effort to reintroduce the Korean wolf, extinct in the wild.
- Medical checks confirmed that Neukgu's pulse and body temperature remained stable after capture.
To everyone who worried about Neukgu's safety and cheered us on, thank you all so much.— Daejeon city government (via social media)
