Soulja Boy Considers 2028 U.S. Presidential RunThe rapper identifies four political priorities: economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, education, and technology and AI.
- In an Instagram post, Soulja Boy said he intends to seek the U.S. presidency in 2028.
- If elected, he would prioritize economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, education, and technology and AI.
- Kanye West had previously pursued a U.S. presidential run twice, for 2020 and again in 2024.
- In October 2025, Soulja Boy sharply criticized AI, citing increasingly realistic-looking videos.
My focus is on four things: economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, education, and the future of technology and AI. From music to business to technology, I’ve always believed in thinking bigger and challenging what’s possible. Now I’m exploring what it means to bring that same vision to public service. The future starts with a conversation.— Soulja Boy wrote in the caption accompanying his Instagram post announcing his presidential run; he outlined four policy focuses and described bringing his broader vision to public service.
