- A marine drone self-detonated around 10:30 AM local time at the civilian section of Constanta’s Black Sea port without causing casualties.
- Romanian intelligence and security forces secured the area following the drone’s discovery earlier that morning before the explosion occurred.
- Ukraine claimed the drone was theirs and lost control due to Russian electronic warfare interference near the coast.
- Russia denied involvement and blamed Ukraine, while Romanian officials ruled out any connection to their military exercises.
This concerns unmanned Ukrainian watercraft. Any attempt to link these drones directly or indirectly to Russia and to attribute responsibility for the incident to Russia is completely unfounded.— The Russian Embassy in Romania; statement regarding the Constanța incident (as reported by ntv.de)
