German prosecutors indict 27 suspects over alleged Reichsbürger coup plotOn December 12, 2023, federal prosecutors filed charges for the first time since raids conducted the previous year.
- During the first raids in December 2022, police arrested 25 suspects across several German states.
- On December 12, 2023, 26 suspected terrorist-organization members were charged; a Russian national allegedly supported the group.
- Those charged include former AfD parliamentarian Birgit Malsack-Winkemann and Heinrich XIII Prince Reuss, alleged to have been the ringleader.
