An Ipsos poll revealed that support for South Africa's governing African National Congress (ANC) has dropped to just over 40%, weeks before an election that could bring about significant political change.

While the ANC is still expected to secure the most votes on May 29, falling below 50% would require seeking coalition partners to govern, marking the first such alliance since Nelson Mandela led the party to power 30 years ago.

The survey was based on face-to-face interviews with 2,545 registered voters across all nine provinces in March and April, boasting a margin of error of 1.9% at a 95% confidence level.

The poll also highlighted rising voter discontent due to issues like unemployment, corruption, crime, and poor services, with the ANC considering potential coalition partners such as the economically liberal DA and the far-left Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

In February, the ongoing connection between Komarov and the townhouse in Herbert Crescent - a prime location in Central London - was highlighted. The property was acquired in 2007 for over $16.5 million through a British Virgin Islands-based shell company under his control.

Instead of directly listing Komarov, a trust was indicated as the beneficial owner of the BVI company, Wastom Holdings Ltd., in the submissions under the U.K.'s Register of Overseas Entities.

It is suggested that the British Government should now disclose details about trusts overseeing properties directly or through companies. This transparency measure would aid in uncovering assets owned by Putin's associates and corrupt individuals, leaving them no refuge.
