  • The executions took place in Ghazni city with multiple gunshots to the back, after Atiqullah Darwish, an official from the Supreme Court, read the death warrant signed by Taliban Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada.

  • A large crowd gathered in the stadium to witness the executions.

  • The two men, Said Jamal and Gul Khan, were identified as the convicts, both found guilty of knife murders in the years 2017 and 2022, according to a statement from the Supreme Court.
