- Cardinal has not responded to a request for comment from Reuters. The inspection revealed that Cardinal was importing two types of syringes under the Monoject brand.
- These syringes are utilized for injecting or withdrawing fluids from the body, as well as administering fluids or medications through a patient's feeding tube. In November, the agency cautioned healthcare providers and facilities against using Cardinal's Monoject syringes with pain management and syringe pumps.
