- Britannia Hotels has faced years of criticism over complaints that it invested too little in the property.
- The company said it had spent millions renovating bedrooms and the ballroom, and released interior images of the refurbished rooms.
- A £3m external facelift has been proposed, while work was already visible on some balconies.
- Britannia has invested more than £1m in an all-inclusive entertainment offering that is due to launch at the Happy Valley Road site and, according to General Manager Bob Down, is to be included in stays without changing room prices.
Many people still love the idea of the classic British seaside hotel break, where entertainment and social activities are part of the experience. As a new entertainment hotel, we are bringing that spirit back to Llandudno, with a full schedule of activities, shows and performances running throughout the day and night.— Bob Down, General Manager of the Grand Hotel Llandudno; said in the Daily Post article about the hotel's revamp.
