- According to Jobling, Benidorm’s 800–1,000 mainly British bars have hosted sports and betting communities for years.
- Hotels now use outdoor areas for giant screens; about 1,000 people watch the races poolside at Marina Resort Hotel.
- Jobling says groups of 25, 40 or 50 book together, while accommodation demand has pushed prices higher.
- Jobling says Cheltenham week is probably Benidorm’s biggest after September’s Benidorm Pride, possibly busier than summer high season.
People get there at 11am to reserve a table so somewhere like the Marina Resort Hotel will have around 1,000 people around the poolside watching Cheltenham and that's just one place.— Richard Jobling, founder of Benidorm And Beyond, describing how crowds watch Cheltenham during Cheltenham Week in Benidorm.
