- According to Nordkurier information, Schwarz Group is considered a potential investor in a data center in Dummerstorf south of Rostock, with costs that could reach the tens of billions of euros.
- A Schwarz Group spokesperson confirmed data-center plans at various locations but neither confirmed nor denied Dummerstorf; the Lübbenau facility is scheduled to begin operating at the end of 2027 and requires 200 megawatts of grid capacity.
- Sources say the Dummerstorf project could require up to 1.2 gigawatts of grid capacity, while the municipal representatives have already approved an amendment to the development plan.
- According to the article, the state government led by Minister-President Manuela Schwesig plans to announce the project in the coming days, possibly as a boost for the election campaign.
