Nintendo has temporarily halted preorders for the Switch 2 in the USA due to 24 percent tariffs on Japanese goods.

The preorder launch set for April 9 has been canceled to assess the impact of the new tariffs.

The Switch 2 is still scheduled to launch in the USA on June 5, 2025, but the price may significantly increase due to tariffs.

The video game industry has protested against the tariffs, fearing serious negative repercussions for the sector.

Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the USA will not begin on April 9 to assess the potential impacts of tariffs and evolving market conditions.
