- According to the article, the PS5 logo in the trailer suggests a simultaneous release with Xbox Series X|S and PC.
- The sequel was announced in 2021 and received its first gameplay look since then at The Game Awards.
- Microsoft already releases titles such as Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, Grounded, and Hi-Fi Rush on other platforms and says it decides this case by case.
- The author sees the multiplatform strategy as a possible sign that Microsoft is shifting from hardware manufacturing toward publishing and services, while noting that Xbox has not announced a console exit.
