- After KB5121003 is installed, Arc Raiders, The Finals, and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls may crash or freeze, while some affected computers unexpectedly restart.
- Microsoft links the problems to the older third-party driver inpoutx64.sys, which is used by RGB, monitoring, fan-control, and tuning software.
- The driver can be temporarily disabled through the Windows Registry, which may prevent crashes but can restrict RGB functions that depend on it.
- Windows 10 has not been comparably affected by this specific problem so far, and Microsoft is working in parallel on a permanent solution.
