Stefan Mross Reacts to ARD Show CancellationAfter 21 years, the ARD show ends in 2026; Mross criticizes the sudden decision and the reasons given by the broadcaster.
- Stefan Mross hosted the ARD show 'Immer wieder sonntags' for 21 years, with the live open-air broadcasts filmed at Europa-Park Rust.
- The cancellation was announced to Mross just hours before the public was informed, causing significant frustration and disappointment.
- SWR cited rejuvenation, commercial factors, and digitalization as reasons for ending the program, which Mross finds incomprehensible.
- Twelve regular episodes, a special, and a best-of show will air until September 2026; Mross’s plans beyond that remain uncertain.
That was ice-cold. They actually demanded that I provide quotes within ten minutes, the quotes they had drafted for me. As if the end of my show had occurred by mutual consent.— Stefan Mross, in an interview with Bild-Zeitung (as reported by ntv.de).
