- Strong thunderstorms on Saturday evening and into Sunday morning led to many basement floods and numerous fire department interventions in Upper Austria.
- The districts of Perg, Grieskirchen, and Linz-Land were hardest hit with rainfall exceeding 40 liters per square meter in a short time.
- Firefighters cleared fallen trees, pumped out water using submersible pumps, and protected homes with sandbags to prevent further flooding.
- Due to persistent water inflow, the railway underpass in Nöstlbach will remain closed to traffic throughout Sunday.
Since large amounts of water are still flowing in, the reopening of the underpass for traffic will only be possible during the course of Sunday.— Walter Lazelsberger, Mayor of St. Marien, regarding the situation of the underpass.
