- On April 11, 2024, the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s Airbus H225M and Boeing CH-47F Chinook helicopters attained full operational capability.
- The two types can transport troops, carry underslung loads, conduct search-and-rescue missions and medical evacuations, and support disaster relief.
- They replace the older Super Puma and CH-47D Chinook, and offer improved communications, self-defence systems and heavier payloads, according to Major Tan Guan Yong.
- A CH-47F can carry 52 troops or up to 12,700kg of underslung cargo, while the H225M can transport more than 20 personnel or 4,750kg of underslung cargo.
