- During TCL Q6 setup, users can choose between the full Google TV experience with a Google sign-in and the “Basic TV” option.
- The basic mode still allows a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection, retains certain terms and conditions, and permits opting out of some Google tracking features.
- TCL’s built-in live guide remains available and combines FAST channels with an antenna if one is used.
- The mode is not a genuinely operating-system-free television, but the network connection can be disconnected in the settings with a few remote-control steps.
