- The Traunstein fire department association holds biannual driver safety courses for machine operators to prepare them for challenging emergency driving conditions.
- The training covers theoretical topics such as driving physics and legal rights alongside practical tasks like emergency braking and obstacle avoidance.
- Participants develop skills to safely navigate hazardous winter roads and tight urban spaces while gaining confidence in vehicle technology.
- In 2022, 19 firefighters from ten local fire brigades attended the sessions aimed at preventing accidents and ensuring safe returns from duty.
It doesn’t matter whether three tons or 15 tons are moved. Our training is suitable for every fire service vehicle. It is of great importance to me to provide the maschinists of the fire departments in the Traunstein district with high-quality training so they can benefit from it at the end of the day. Ultimately, all firefighters should return home healthy and sound after duty to their families.— Kreisbrandmeister Martin Hochreiter, quoted in the article about the Fahrsicherheitstraining
