A group of students from Leonberg’s vocational school has been training for months to bike across the Alps in five days.

The eight participants will ride from Mittenwald to Riva del Garda, covering about 365 kilometers with seven to nine kilograms of luggage.

Their preparation includes spinning workouts, technical riding practice, and off-road training to handle steep climbs and rough terrain.

The tour planning is largely student-led, with teacher guidance and sponsorship, promising a challenging yet rewarding experience.

The students have to step out of their comfort zone. And in the end comes the feeling: I did it.
— Jens Kaufmann, teacher, on the Alpencross course and the aim to push students out of their comfort zone
