Isar Aerospace Faces Launch Setback with Spectrum RocketThe second launch attempt was aborted due to a pressure tank leak during the mission to deploy multiple small satellites.
- Isar Aerospace’s 28-meter Spectrum rocket launch at Norway’s Andoya spaceport was halted again.
- A pressure vessel leak caused the launch abort, interrupting the deployment of several small satellites into orbit.
- The company is fully booked until 2028 and has seen military mission requests quadruple in one year.
- European nations aim to reduce reliance on foreign space firms like SpaceX for strategic security reasons.
There is no doubt that we will reach Earth's orbit and prove we have reliable access to space.— Daniel Metzler, CEO of Isar Aerospace, after the aborted launch due to a leak
