- Apple is planning to drastically change its iPhone release schedule starting in 2026, with premium models launching in the fall and budget models in the spring.
- This new schedule aims to help Apple remain competitive in the fiercely contested Chinese smartphone market by releasing new models concurrently with competitors.
- The staggered release may also encourage consumers to opt for more expensive premium models instead of waiting for cheaper options.
- Additionally, the new schedule could reduce manufacturing bottlenecks by spreading production demands throughout the year.
