- Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua is embroiled in a legal battle over child support and custody following a brief relationship with a Kenyan woman based in Dubai.
- The mother demands over Sh6 million for backdated support and a lavish lifestyle, including foreign residency and government tenders.
- Mutua proposes a 50:50 parental responsibility arrangement and commits to covering medical and upkeep costs within legal limits.
- The mother alleges abandonment and financial neglect, while Mutua accuses her of exploiting his public position and violating their child's privacy.
These demands are outrageous and appalling, especially considering my role as a government employee, and some of her demands violate Chapter Six of the Constitution, which governs the integrity of public servants.— Dr. Alfred Mutua stated this in an affidavit before the Milimani Children’s Court, regarding a child custody dispute.
