Bücheralarm Becomes Nationwide Reading InitiativeBy November 2022, 60 libraries plan to produce book-podcast episodes with children.
- Since May 2020, Lena Stenz has produced 42 episodes, which have been played 35,000 times so far.
- Over the next twelve months, 60 libraries are expected to produce 60 episodes, mostly featuring children presenting books.
- The first episode has been online since November 16; Hofheim’s class 4A is scheduled to present the second on November 23.
- Participating libraries receive podcast seminars free of charge; a technical Bücheralarm equipment case costs around 400 euros.
I am happy and proud that we can build a large, modern nationwide network for promoting reading.— Lena Stenz, initiator of 'Bücheralarm' and communications and marketing consultant, on the nationwide development of a network for promoting reading.
