- Erwin Heinle opposed painting the tower in red-white stripes to preserve its architectural integrity.
- The structure integrates technical solutions and natural shapes, blending seamlessly with its green surroundings.
- Its parabolic shaft design imparts lightness and a distinctive silhouette to the landmark.
- A smooth aluminum cladding on the tower’s head creates a floating effect depending on daylight.
With this building, it has indeed been possible to show once again that one can design technical necessities beautifully at the same time, so that it brings joy to people and serves them directly.— This was said by Fritz Leonhardt, and he was completely right with this self-praise. To this day.

- In 2019, Stuttgart’s council set a goal to increase cycling’s share of traffic to 25 percent by 2030.
- Between 2017 and 2025, cycling’s share rose only from eight to nine percent, risking a target delay until 2153 if trends continue.
- New bike paths are under construction or completed in Bad Cannstatt, near the Fernsehturm, Burgstallstraße, and around the main train station, with completion dates from 2026 to 2028.
- Sections of Georgiiweg will become car-free, while a proposed bike street in Vaihingen was rejected, prompting a search for alternative routes.
If the current pace is maintained, the self-imposed goals would only be achieved 'in the year 2153.'— Politicians from the Left SÖS Plus faction
