Summary created with AI assistance · Source: pcgamer.com
- Doom: The Dark Ages is designed primarily for consoles, limiting the agility seen in previous iterations.
- New combat mechanics, such as the Shield Saw, require adaptation to a slower playstyle, negatively affecting the PC experience.
- Wider, flatter arenas and fewer airborne threats reduce gameplay dynamics and challenge.
- Despite being optimized for controllers, the over-simplification is viewed as excessive, diminishing excitement for the series.
