- AAA games like GTA 6 may soon reach $100, creating opportunities for more affordable titles in the market.
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 delivers high production value and story at a $40–50 price point.
- Some consumers initially doubted the game's length and quality due to its lower cost, but the developers maintained their pricing strategy.
- The success of smaller, focused projects demonstrates viability beyond the expensive AAA game model.
I think as that AAA price goes up, I think it creates more of an opportunity to be launching games – more sensibly scoped games – [and] pricing them at that $40–50 range.— Matthew Handrahan, portfolio director of Kepler Interactive, explained this in a recent interview with Games Industry.
