- Amazon is developing a new AI-driven smartphone called “Transformer” to enhance user connectivity with its services.
- The device focuses on seamless integration with Alexa, Prime Video, Prime Music, and Amazon shopping.
- The project is led by J Allard, a former Microsoft executive known for Xbox and Zune development.
- Amazon is also considering a simpler “dumbphone” model as a secondary device to reduce digital distractions.
In my opinion, the dumbphone idea would be a better starting point for Amazon.— Rachit Agarwal, author of the article; he expresses the view that a simpler, AI-powered 'dumbphone' could be a better entry point for Amazon than a full-featured smartphone.
