The Rams selected quarterback Ty Simpson from Alabama with the 13th overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Head coach Sean McVay appeared noticeably unenthusiastic and offered limited praise following the announcement.

Concerns arose about general manager Les Snead’s impartiality due to his personal ties with Simpson’s family.

Simpson’s impact remains uncertain for at least two years, and the choice might affect the Rams' current playoff chances.
