  • In October, Gillis joked during the U.S. opening monologue that women dressed like prostitutes after he had been away from the gym.

  • The joke drew criticism from Dan Levy and former U.S. SNL cast members Ego Nwodim and Cecily Strong, among others.

  • On “Weekend Update,” Magliano introduced her profane mockery with a story about shorts protecting women from voyeuristic filming at Munich’s Oktoberfest.

  • Clips of Magliano’s appearance spread on X; one critic called “SNL UK” funnier than the original after six second-season episodes.
    • Oh, Shane, you’re not allowed to say that, you stupid fucking cunt.
    — Ania Magliano, Weekend Update UK anchor, delivering the roast of Shane Gillis after noting his use of the F-word.
