Mike Flanagan's ‘CARRIE’ has been renewed for Season 2.

Key FactsPrime Video Orders Second Carrie Season

Summary created with AI assistance · Source: cbr.com

Prime Video ordered a second season; Mike Flanagan developed the series from the novel.

The first season premiered October 7 and quickly reached No. 1 on Prime Video.

The first season spans eight episodes but changes the novel’s story in several major and minor ways.

The season finale closes the familiar story; therefore, the continuation would need to move beyond King’s original narrative.

I can’t wait for audiences to get to see what’s down the road for Carrie White. Mike Flanagan and I are excited about what comes next. It’s bound to be thrilling.
— Stephen King, in a statement about Carrie Season 2; King teases what comes next.
