Summary created with AI assistance · Source: thedailybeast.com
- The story is set mostly in 2016 and follows Earth’s sole Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, as he trains his protégé, John Stewart.
- In Rushville, the two investigate four strangers’ murders after Hal identifies the victims as aliens, while Sheriff Kerry also investigates.
- The review emphasizes that the series prioritizes the tense relationship and characters of Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre over superhero spectacle.
- Because HBO did not provide critics with the finale, the review leaves open how closely the series will ultimately connect to the wider DCU mythology.
