- The expansion of three light rail stops in Heslach has been completed, with cable work now underway at Erwin-Schoettle-Platz.
- Since December 2025, U1 trams run continuously, slowing car traffic due to revised traffic management.
- Traffic on Schickhardtstraße is diverted to the bus lane, causing significant morning backups extending to the Schwabtunnel.
- Delays have cast doubt on finishing construction by mid-2026, with additional modifications planned thereafter.
This could lead to longer waiting times for individual traffic than was the case last year.— SSB spokesperson; on behalf of SSB and the City of Stuttgart
