- In a now-deleted, profanity-laden Instagram response to criticism, Rojas defended his teammates while acknowledging his share of the loss.
- In the second inning, Rojas tried to reach second base himself on Xander Bogaerts’ grounder instead of throwing to Gavin Lux, after which both runners scored and a six-run rally followed.
- The Dodgers won Game 4 by 8-0 while Rojas sat out with an aggravated left adductor injury, and Dave Roberts said he probably would not start the decisive Game 5 on Friday night at Dodger Stadium.
- After beginning the season as a backup and moving to shortstop when Mookie Betts was injured, Rojas committed just two errors in 596 innings, with a .283 batting average and a .748 OPS.
On that play at second base when I tried to take it myself to the bag, I feel like I reached a little bit for the bag with my left leg, and it was a bad decision. I made a bad decision there for the play and for my health. I made a decision there that hurt me and hurt the team at the time. Unfortunately, I have to deal with the consequences now.— Miguel Rojas after Game 3, discussing the second-base play and his health
