- Investigative documents identify Linda Gesto, Úrsula Banz, María Sol Rivera and Aurora Muradas as Martinelli’s “intimate friends,” or Odebrecht’s “Periquitas.”
- At Andrés Rabello’s request, accounts were allegedly opened for each of the four women at PKB in Antigua, with funds from Odebrecht’s Ample Power.
- In an alleged recording shared by Foco Panamá on September 4, Ricardo Martinelli and Adolfo “Chichí” de Obarrio purportedly discussed five-year, $2 million contracts for the women, which Martinelli denied participating in and suggested could have been generated by artificial intelligence.
- Only Aurora Muradas was called to trial in the case, while Úrsula Banz was the sole woman to testify, asserting her innocence and invoking Article 25 of the Constitution.
No one is obliged to testify in a criminal, correctional, or police matter against themselves, their spouse, or their relatives in the fourth degree of consanguinity or the second degree of affinity.— Úrsula Banz, during the fiscal hearing in the Odebrecht case in Panama
