- Several party members, including Stefan Marzischewski‑Drewes and MEP Anja Arndt, asked the federal board in early February to intervene over internal issues in Lower Saxony.
- In a follow‑up letter Arndt alleges some Lower Saxony Bundestag MPs systematically redirected 35 percent of their staff budgets into a state AfD network.
- The document claims up to about €1.455 million per year could be involved across 13 MPs, and the accused deny the allegations.
- The state board rejects the charges and signals disciplinary steps against Arndt, while the federal board is scheduled to discuss the matter on February 23 in Berlin.
Without your swift and decisive intervention, our party, the Alternative for Germany in Lower Saxony, will be lost— Stefan Marzischewski-Drewes and Anja Arndt, addressing Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla
