I was born in Berlin, I learned on the streets of Tempelhof what diversity and solidarity mean. I have known the Olympic Stadium for as long as I can remember. Running out here every two weeks is already a great honor. The thought that we Berliners could welcome the world of sport in our Olympic Stadium is extraordinary and would be a strong signal for a modern capital that brings people together—no matter where they come from.— Linus Gechter, Berlin Olympic Ambassador and Hertha BSC defender; speaking about the potential hosting of the Games in Berlin.
