Jurassic Park III’s Raptors: Evolution of a Monster DesignA discarded concept revealed why Jurassic Park III’s velociraptors were uniquely intelligent and deadly compared to other films.
- The velociraptors in Jurassic Park III featured distinct physical traits and advanced hunting tactics unlike their predecessors.
- Originally, the raptors were intended to evolve by reversing the frog DNA placeholders to regain ancient traits.
- This concept was abandoned to avoid implying similar devolution in other dinosaur species, which would complicate the storyline.
- Jurassic World: Dominion hinted that these raptors survived on the mainland, suggesting potential for new narrative developments.
