Records reviewed by ProPublica indicate Kremlev paid $100,000 for a second private island and $70,000 for fireworks.

Bettina and Donald Trump said their private ceremony took place Friday, attended only by family.

The couple said Kremlev then hosted two evenings of celebrations as a generous wedding gift for them.

Kremlev is IBA president; during his tenure, the IOC removed the organization’s oversight, citing corruption, doping, and political influence.

"Our dear friend Umar very generously hosted two incredible nights of celebrations for us AFTER our wedding. It was an extraordinarily generous wedding gift from a friend, and something for which we were and remain incredibly grateful," she added.— Bettina Trump, in an Instagram post co-signed with Donald Trump, explaining that Umar Kremlev hosted celebrations after the wedding rather than paying for the wedding itself; context: clarifying the nature of the gift and expressing gratitude.
