Quick Glance: Tony Sirico, well remembered for his role as Paulie "Walnuts" Gualtieri on The Sopranos, has died at the age of 79.
- Sirico was described as the " kindest, fiercely loyal, and heartfelt man I've ever known" by Michael Gandolfini, son of late Sopranos star James Gandolfini.
- "He was always Uncle Tony to me, and Tony always showed up for me and my family," recalled Gandolfini.
- He also had a comedic turn as the talking dog Vinny on Family Guy, as well as appearances on The Fairly OddParents and a Muppets Christmas television special.
- His most memorable performance, though, was as the wisecracking Paulie in The Sopranos.
- Sirico (center) was a pivotal figure in the hit criminal drama The Sopranos.
